Kalakand is a milk based sweet. Traditionally it is made by first making Chenna (the process is same as Paneer) and adding to milk that is reduced by boiling for a long time. This recipe takes half the time as well no cooking on stove, no cleaning those heavy bottom pan in which milk boiled and being very simple to make, the quantity is easily doubled or tripled and great for sharing during festive time.

Baklava
Baklava, a nuts filled Sweet made of phyllo pastry sheets sweetened with sugar-honey/agave syrup. Baklava is a popular Turkish dessert, made world-wide in different versions.
This is the same type of Baklava I had it in Oman when I lived there for few years. It’s sticky because of the syrup that’s poured on top and gooey and nutty in the center. You can see the layers of Phyllo sheets after every bite.

Badam Kheer
A milk based drink with a mild nutty flavor of almonds and rich flavor of saffron.
