This is a recipe I’ve wanted to share for a while because it’s just too easy and delicious.
Ingredients:
10-12 baby potatoes, boiled and peeled
1 tablespoon oil, any oil works good
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp hing/Asafoetida
1/4 tsp and a pinch more turmeric powder
Chilli Powder- to taste
Salt- to taste
Coriander leaves, cleaned and chopped finely- Optional
Method:
Peel off the skin of the potatoes that are boiled, I used a pressure cooker to boil potatoes (For 2 whistles)
Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. When they pop, add cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Immediately add a potato or two to prevent the spice powders from burning.
Add Rest of the potatoes and salt. Make sure you mix them every 3-4 minutes to avoid the potatoes from burning from the bottom.
Sprinkle chopped cilantro/coriander before removing from heat.
Enjoy with Sambhar, Rasam or Dhal Tadka
Happy Cooking
